Disney Memory Maker Explained
Disney Memory Maker is an optional service that guests can purchase within their Walt Disney World vacation package. I always include the cost of this service in my quotes because it is such an excellent value!
Here’s how Disney Memory Maker works and why I think every family will love it.
Memory Maker costs $169 USD when you include it in your vacation package. If you wait until you’ve arrived to purchase the service, the cost increases to $199 USD. The service is linked to your family’s MagicBands. The photos will be are linked to your account, and you’ll be able to see them in the My Disney Experience app on your phone or tablet.
Your family gets to keep all of the photos that are taken during your vacation. Once you’ve downloaded your photos, you can do whatever you like with them! Many families print copies for a scrapbook or make customized items such as mugs and magnets with them.
Disney refers to your photos as “PhotoPass Photos” and the photographers around the theme parks as “PhotoPass Photographers.” To keep things simple, I’ll use that same terminology.
What does Memory Maker include?
- Professional photos of magical moments in the theme parks, taken by Disney PhotoPass Photographers
- Photos with Disney characters
- Photos taken on select attractions, such as Splash Mountain, Test Track, Slinky Dog Dash, and more
- Meet and greets with characters at select dining locations
- Magic Shots, such as Tiny World Magic Shots, Super Zoom Magic Shots, Disney Magic Shots or Animated Magic Shots
Memory Maker photos are captured by a Disney PhotoPass photographer wherever you see them available! The nicest part is, your whole family will be in the photos. You don’t have to hand your camera or smartphone to a stranger.
