Disney’s Pop Century Resort is an excellent value resort hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. In this post, you’ll find out if this resort is a good fit for you and your travel party during your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

Should I Stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort?

Couples and families with young kids will enjoy this pop culture nostalgia-themed resort best. While this resort is a value property, it is close to several other resorts, which guests may choose to visit for additional dining options. Many daily activities are organized for families to participate in. This is the value resort that I recommend most often for my clients.

Transportation and Dining Options

Transportation to Walt Disney World theme parks (Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom), water parks and Disney Springs is by bus or Disney Skyliner (Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT).

Dining is quick service only at Everything POP Shopping & Dining. Guests may also wish to enjoy a beer, glass of wine or cocktail at the Petals Pool Bar.

Guests can easily use Disney Skyliner to get from Disney’s Pop Century Resort to either of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort or Disney’s Riviera Resort for additional dining options. They can also walk to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to enjoy a meal at the food court there.

Rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Recently refurbished rooms have one queen-sized bed and one queen-size table-style Murphy bed, and sleep up to 4 guests. Some rooms have 1 king sized bed. There are four room categories at this resort:

  • Standard Room
  • Standard Pool View Room
  • Preferred Room
  • Preferred Pool View

Although the rooms are very similar in their configuration, a Standard Room will have views of the resort hotel or parking areas, while a Preferred Room will be in a better location at the hotel, close to Classic Hall, dining, shopping and transportation.
