Walt Disney World value resorts are some of the most fun, character-themed hotels in the Central Florida area. These hotels have all the wonderful features and benefits you’ll need to really enjoy your stay on property at Walt Disney World. Are you wondering if a value resort is the right fit for you and your family? I hope this brief explanation will help you decide. A complete list of the value resorts at Walt Disney World is located at the bottom of the page.

Room Size & Features

In general, the rooms at value resorts at Walt Disney World are smaller than the rooms within the moderate and deluxe resort categories. For example, a Standard Room at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort has fewer square feet than a standard room at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. The Family Suites at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort or Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are an exception to this, since they are large enough to accommodate up to 6 adults, with a separate bedroom, kitchenette and additional bathroom.

The rooms at value resorts have no private outdoor space, opening directly to an outdoor, public walkway. All have windows. Some beds are table-style Murphy beds. King-sized beds are available at some value resorts.

A small refrigerator can be found in every Walt Disney World Resort hotel room.

Bathrooms are always split for the best use of family space and time, with plenty of storage.

Club Level is not an option at the value resorts.

Pools

Value resorts at Walt Disney World have multiple, family-friendly swimming pools and small splash areas for toddlers. While there are two swimming pools at Disney’s All-Star Resorts, there are three swimming pools to choose from at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort. There are no jacuzzis at value resorts. Jacuzzis are found at some moderate and deluxe resorts.

Overall Theming

Value resorts at Walt Disney World have a lot of fun, bright and colourful Disney theming throughout. For example, you’ll find Toy Story, Cars, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, 101 Dalmations and Herbie the Love Bug featured at value resorts, with larger-than-life character monuments at these hotels.

The theming is also typically geared more toward children of all ages at a value resort than it is at a moderate of deluxe resort. For example, the characters will be woven more subtly into the decor of the resort at a deluxe resort, while at a value resort, guests will find more obvious and colourful examples of Disney characters and film themes throughout the hotel.

Proximity to Theme Parks

If a quick return to your resort at the end of the day is a priority for your family, this resort category may not be the best choice for you. These properties are typically situated the furthest from the Walt Disney World theme parks. Transportation is always included when you book a Walt Disney World vacation package, but getting to and from the theme parks will mean using a shuttle bus for most visits. See below for more information about the transportation options at value resorts. None of these resorts are within walking distance to the theme parks.

Transportation Options

At Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort, transportation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT is available via Disney Skyliner. From these resorts, guests will travel to Magic Kingdom or Disney’s Animal Kingdom by shuttle bus.

Transportation to all theme parks from Disney’s All-Star Resorts is by shuttle bus only.

Dining

The value resorts at Walt Disney World include only quick service dining options, with cafeteria-style dining. Character dining experiences do not take place at these properties. Guests may travel to other resorts, theme parks or Disney Springs for table service or character dining, where available.

For guests who would like to stay at a value resort, but prefer a table service option nearby, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort are nearby to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort for additional dining options.
