Universal Orlando Resort will soon welcome a new addition to its lineup of hotels: Universal Helios Grand Hotel. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2025, and it will offer guests an unforgettable experience with its stunning architecture, top-notch amenities, and best of all, its prime location. Let’s explore everything we know so far about the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, the gateway to Universal Epic Universe.

Design and Architecture

Universal Helios Grand Hotel will feature a modern design inspired by Greek mythology and the sun god Helios. The hotel’s exterior will showcase sleek lines, expansive glass windows, and intricate details that reflect the grandeur of ancient Greece. This is “a world where the heavens and earth unite,” as described in the Universal Destinations & Experiences press release dated January 30, 2024. Guests can expect to be greeted by a magnificent lobby adorned with sun-themed artwork and elegant décor.

Luxurious Accommodations

Universal Helios Grand Hotel will offer 500 rooms to cater to different preferences and budgets. Guests will enjoy modern amenities, plush bedding, and stunning views of the new theme park, Universal Epic Universe.

  • Standard Room, with Skyline, Pool and Theme Park Views, accommodating 3 to 5 guests
  • Deluxe Queen, accommodating up to 5 guests, with a theme park view option
  • King Suite, accommodating up to 4 guests and featuring a separate living area with sleeper sofa
  • How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Suites, with a standard king room connected to a separate kids’ room and a shared living space, accommodating up to 5 guests, and with a theme park view option
  • Celestial Suites, with a theme park view, these accommodate 4 guests with the option of an additional connecting 2 queen room
  • Hospitality Suites, featuring a theme park view, separate living area with sleeper sofa and the option of an additional connecting 2 queen room
  • Presidential Suites, with 1,500 square feet of living space, a theme park view and accommdating up to 2 guests.

Amenities

Universal Helios Grand Hotel just released more details about its amenities. The hotel will feature several different offerings:

  • Elegant Dining Venues: The hotel will offer multiple dining options, ranging from casual to fine dining, ensuring guests enjoy a variety of culinary experiences. These will include a rooftop bar with incredible park views, known as Bar Helios. Enjoy sliders, tapas and gyros while sipping a cocktail overlooking Universal Epic Universe. There will also be a three-meal restaurant called Flora Taverna, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner open kitchen style. The restaurant will offer guests views of Universal Epic Universe. Aurora Market will be the grab & go option with menu items such as paninis, wraps and gelato. As with many other hotels at Universal Orlando Resort, there will also be a pool bar & grill. Lotus Lagoon. Room service will also be available.
  • Recreational Facilities: The hotel will offer extensive recreational facilities to cater to guests’ fitness and leisure needs. The zero-entry pool is sure to be a hot spot, with poolside service offered. Cabanas will be available to rent, poolside. The fitness center, with strength and cardio equipment, will be complimentary for hotel guests.

Location, Location, Location

One of the major highlights of Universal Helios Grand Hotel is its prime location within Universal Orlando Resort. Guests will have easy access to the upcoming Universal Epic Univers. In fact, aforementioned press release indicated that the hotel will be “located inside Epic Universe at the end of Celestial Park.” A dedicated entrance to the park itself will be located at the hotel. Valid theme park admission is, of course, required.

Staying at the Helios Grand Hotel will come with exclusive perks for guests, including:

  • Early Park Admission: Guests can enter the parks before the general public, allowing them to enjoy popular attractions with shorter wait times.
  • Complimentary Shuttle Service: Convenient transportation to and from the theme parks and Universal CityWalk.
  • Priority Seating at Select Restaurants: Priority seating at some of the resort’s most popular dining venues.

Hopefully, this property will include Universal Express Unlimited at a future date.
