Safe Post-pandemic Travel Planning
You may be wondering how a travel agent can assist your family with planning post-pandemic travel when we are still experiencing local restrictions. The light at the end of the pandemic tunnel is getting brighter by the day, with the acceleration of vaccination efforts across North America.
As more families begin to think about their lives when the pandemic is behind us, vacation planning is one activity that is going to be on the rebound. And when that rebound happens, I want to provide family vacation planning services in a way that makes you, the client, most comfortable.
That’s why I’ve put together a few different options for families who want to start having conversations about planning their next vacation, while staying safe. After all, having something positive to look forward to, like a vacation, can really provide a much-needed boost for your mental health!
Virtual Post-pandemic Travel Planning
Make an appointment for a virtual chat and we’ll use video conferencing software to meet. We can meet up using Facebook Messenger, FaceTime, Zoom or Google Hangouts. All of these methods are fairly simple to use.
Why I Like this Method
Meeting up using video conferencing allows us to see one another fully, all from the comfort of your own home. And, if your trip involves multiple families or households, we can easily all meet up online. Video chat feels more personal than a phone call. There’s no need to find someone to watch your children while we chat. Multiple family members can join in the conversation. Face masks and hand sanitizer aren’t needed.
Vacation Planning by Phone
Whether you haven’t embraced video conferencing, or you’ve just had enough screen time and need a break, we can chat the old fashioned way, over the phone. I can be reached at 289-404-3265.
Why I Like This Method
Phone calls can take place a little more spontaneously than video conferencing. You’re welcome to call when you’ve got a few minutes to get the conversation started, or make an appointment to talk. A phone call usually takes only a few minutes, and we can then arrange a second call, or I can provide information to you via e-mail after we talk.
Socially-distanced Meet-up
Now that springtime weather is here, you may be comfortable to meet up with me in person. However, it’s important for us to continue to follow Ontario’s public health guidance, including social distancing, mask wearing and hand washing. Unfortunately, I’m not able to meet up with prospective clients in their homes. But we can choose an outdoor location like a park, where it’s possible to maintain the recommended six feet of distance between us.
Why I Like This Method
Social interaction seems to be hard to come by these days, and it can feel really good to meet in person! Although we won’t be shaking hands, a wave hello and a smile can go a long way in a conversation. And, as the weather improves and public health guidelines are adjusted, our comfort with being together in person will gradually increase, as well.
When travel slowed to a halt last year, we travel agents worked hard on behalf of our clients. We’ve been assisting our clients with cancellations, rescheduling and keeping them posted about what’s been going on in the world of family travel since the pandemic began. In addition, we’ve been keeping in touch with our favourite suppliers, like Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort, among others, so that we’ll be on top of our game when it’s time to help make your post-pandemic travel dreams come true!
