What did we learn about the Disney Treasure cruise ship today?

When guests board the Disney Treasure, they’ll enter a beautiful atrium, The Grand Hall. The Grand Hall will have an Aladdin theme, with colours and decor reminiscent of Agrabah. A bronze statue of Aladdin and Jasmine on their magic carpet will be prominently featured in this space. We’ll also find Aladdin’s magic lamp nearby.

Upper Deck

Another water attraction featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse will take guests on an adventure. They’ll they tour the mysterious Temple of the Golden Egg on AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg. Guests who have sailed on the Disney Wish will recognize this attraction concept.

Fans of the Disney film Zootopia will recognize Jumbeaux’s Sweets. This will be an ice cream and candy shop in the same vein as Joyful Sweets on the Disney Wish.

Spaces for Kids

Disney’s Oceaneer Club, will obviously maintain its classic set-up, so that both the Disney Wish and the Disney Treasure will include:

  • Marvel Superhero Academy
  • Walt Disney Imagineering Lab
  • Fairytale Hall
  • Star Wars Cargo Bay

Edge and Vibe will, indeed, continue to be the designated area for tweens and teens to hang out on the ship.

Entertainment

The Walt Disney Theatre tradition continues, with a production of Beauty and the Beast. In addition, another brand new, broadway-style show which will be named at a later date.

Sarabi will be the central hub for family entertainment, and this will be a venue that will be themed for the Lion King.

Spaces for Adults on the Disney Treasure

A new lounge called Skipper Society is going to be located near the Grand Hall. Serving up drinks and snacks, the lounge will be themed for the Jungle Cruise attraction found in the Disney theme parks. Consequently, we’re likely to be waited on my skippers telling cheesy jokes and spouting puns.

Another new lounge called Periscope Pub will be themed like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Although not verified, the cruise line hinted that the screens on the ceiling will feature effects from this thrilling story beneath the waves. (I envision squid tentacles making regular appearances.)

Disney Treasure Staterooms

All of the staterooms on board the Disney Treasure will be luxurious and state-of-the-art, decked out with nostalgia charm for families to enjoy.

Lion King themed Concierge Suite guests will have their own lounge and private sundeck with complimentary food and drinks served all day.

There will be four, two-story Royal Suites, with decor inspired by feline characters such as Bagheera and Rajah.

The new Tomorrow Tower Suite, inspired by EPCOT and all the possibilities of tomorrow, will encourage guests to explore the future.

Family Restaurants

Worlds of Marvel returns with the Avengers Quantum Encounter, with the goal of stopping Ultron from stealing quantum technology. A new Marvel dining experience is also forthcoming. At this time, we can expect to learn additional details at a later date.

Plaza de Coco will be a new family restaurant themed for the Disney Pixar film, Coco, with amazing authentic food and theming, and engaging entertainment. The whole experience is a big celebration in honour of Ernesto de la Cruz, encouraging guests to remember that, “Family is everything.”
