Guests will soon be able to enjoy early theme park entry at Walt Disney World Resort by staying on site at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Guests of all categories of hotel will be able to enjoy this benefit, which will replace the old “Extra Magic Hours” benefit, discontinued when Walt Disney World Resort closed at the start of the pandemic.

Which theme parks will be included in this benefit?

All four theme parks will be open daily, 30 minutes early, for resort hotel guests to enjoy.

Which hotels are included?

Guests at any value, moderate, deluxe or deluxe villa resort hotel can enjoy early theme park entry at Walt Disney World Resort. In addition, guests of some select hotels, likely those considered “More Great Accommodations” will be able to enjoy early theme park entry.

When will the Early Theme Park Entry benefit be available?

The early theme park entry benefit will begin on October 1, 2021, just in time for the 50th anniversary celebrations at Walt Disney World Resort.

How is this new benefit different from Extra Magic Hours?

While Extra Magic Hours took place at select theme parks, typically for an hour prior to the standard opening time, early theme park entry will take place daily at all four theme parks, 30 minutes prior to opening to the general public.

Other Requirements for Early Theme Park Entry

Resort guests will require valid theme park admission as well as park pass reservations in order to take advantage of this benefit.

What about extended evening hours?

Guests of a Walt Disney World Deluxe Resort or Deluxe Villa Resort will also get to enjoy extended evening hours on select nights in select theme parks. This benefit will begin in early October of 2021.
