Universal Orlando Resort offers both non-private and private VIP Tours, each providing guests with exclusive benefits and access to attractions, shows, and entertainment options. I had the opportunity to go on a Private VIP Tour at Universal Orlando Resort recently, and we had a blast!
In this post, you’ll learn about the differences between the Non-Private and Private VIP Tour at Universal Orlando Resort, and read an overview of what to expect when you go on one.
Non-Private VIP Tour at Universal Orlando Resort
The non-private VIP Tour is designed for groups of up to 12 guests and provides a guided tour of both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Your friends or family will be in a group with other guests at the parks that day, and the tour will be crafted by the tour guide.
During the tour, your personal tour guide will accompany you and provide insider knowledge and tips, and assist with front-of-the-line access to a minimum of ten rides and attractions. You will avoid waiting in any lines and will be able to walk right onto some of the most popular attractions at the parks! Additionally, you’ll have access to reserved seating at select shows and a gourmet lunch.
It’s worth noting that the price of the non-private VIP Tour doesn’t include admission to the theme parks, which is available separately, and includes Early Park Admission. You must have valid admission tickets to both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure to participate in the tour. The non-private VIP Tour is an additional cost on top of the regular park admission ticket.
Private VIP Tour at Universal Orlando Resort
On the other hand, the Private VIP Tour offers a more personalized and customizable experience for a smaller group of guests. This tour is designed for up to five people, and provides an exclusive tour guide, front-of-the-line access to attractions and shows, and a customized itinerary based on your interests and preferences. You and your group will decide which attractions and shows to visit. Do you want to ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure or Jurassic World Velocicoaster three or four times in a row? You can do it! (We only did it twice, but the privilege of getting off a top attraction and getting right back on again is an awesome experience.)
The Private VIP Tour also includes access to a private lounge with complimentary snacks and beverages, as well as breakfast and lunch at a select restaurant in the park. Similar to the non-private tour, the price of the Private VIP Tour does not include admission to the theme parks. During our Private VIP Tour, we enjoyed breakfast at Café La Bamba and chose to have lunch at Mythos inside Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
Is a VIP Tour at Universal Orlando Resort Worth It?
One way to gauge the value of a VIP Tour is to compare the price of the tour with the cost of including Universal Express Unlimited with your tickets. Often, for just a few more dollars, you can enjoy the Non-Private VIP Tour, instead. When you consider the fact the tour includes food, valet parking, a 10% merchandise discount and use of Universal Express Unlimited for the remainder of the day after your tour concludes, the VIP tour is well worth it!
Both tours provide exclusive benefits and access to attractions, shows, and entertainment options, but the Private VIP Tour offers a more exclusive and customized experience.
